Presenter:  Charlie Havens - Where does Apple fit and why, might I want it to?

Charlie Havens is President of Wooded Isle Computer Consultants and, since 1999, a member of the Apple Consultants Network.  Armed with multiple Apple certifications and experienced integrating Apple into a variety of settings, Charlie helps you plan for and manage your Apple systems.  He focuses on the needs of Chicago's small law firms, nonprofit and arts organizations, creatives and home-based professionals.

Apples are becoming more widely used in business and with the IPAD, many people are now using them.  Come learn from and network with an Apple expert.

The first course and networking at your first table begins at 11:45am.  So to insure you have time to eat the first course and network people at  the first table, be sure to be there by 11:45am

Once the official program begins at noon, we will follow our usual format. The first 30 minutes will be used for the help session, eating and very limited networking at the first table. The next 60 minutes is used for speed networking (switching tables every 20 minutes).

You SHOULD register online.  When you sign-up, you will be charged a fee of $30.00 (plus admin fees) which covers the cost of a 3 course meal, a soft drink or tea/coffee and tax & tip. After you sign-up, you will receive an email confirming your RSVP. IF you do not get one, PLEASE notify me immediately.

We usually sell out so make your reservation early. Once we have filled all seats, you will need to contact me to have your name placed on the wait list.

I must turn in the final number at 4pm on  6/11, so no cancellations will be accepted after that date and time. Also, if there are any seats remaining, the price will go up to $35 (plus admin fees) until registration ends at noon the day before our lunch. IF  there are any seats available at the door, the price is $40.

Parking & Transportation:

  • Lot Parking: 1 ½ blocks West on Grand (The Garden Inn Parking lot), Buca di Beppo gives out validation tickets to reduce the cost.  Also, I noticed there is a cheaper lot on Ohio one block North & ½ block West.
  • Buses: Take any of the Michigan Ave buses to Ohio, walk West 1 block and South 1 block OR take the 36 or 22 bus to Grand and walk East 2 blocks
  • Train: Take the Red Line to Grand and walk East 2 blocks

Business Network Chicago (BNC)

Business Network Chicago (BNC) is a network for professionals offering extensive face-to-face and online networking opportunities to over 4000 members in the Chicago business community.  Our mission is to educate, support and empower members to achieve all their strategic objectives through the power of networking whether looking for clients, talent, a job, capital or strategic alliances.

The BNC Technology Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  The purpose of the group is to facilitate structured networking among technology & social media professionals and people who are interested in technology or social media.  At our monthly meetings, we have a brief presentation on a technical/social media issue or another area of professional concern and then we have speed networking.  Our community fosters support and knowledge-sharing with people in or interested in technology and/or social media.
